The uptime commitment, exclusions and scheduled maintenance terms that accompany the Contentment Foundation Terms of Service.
Under review
These policies moved across from our previous website in August 2026, with their wording unchanged. They are being reviewed and some details may be out of date. If something here looks wrong, please tell us at hello@contentment.org.
This Contentment Foundation Service Level Agreement ("SLA") accompanies the Contentment Foundation Subscription Terms of Service, available at https://contentment.org/policy/tos or a successor URL (the "Agreement") entered into between you ("Customer") and Contentment Foundation. Capitalized terms used in this SLA that are not defined herein have the meanings given to them in the Agreement.
Target Availability
Contentment Foundation will use commercially reasonable efforts to make each Service available with an uptime of 99.8% of each calendar month ("Target Availability").
The availability of services is publicly accessible on http://status.contentment.org/.
Exclusions
The calculation of uptime will not include unavailability to the extent due to: (a) use of the Service by Customer in a manner not authorized in this Agreement or the applicable Documentation; (b) general Internet problems, force major events or other factors outside of Contentment Foundation's reasonable control; (c) Customer's equipment, software, network connections or other infrastructure; (d) third party systems, acts or omissions; or (e) Scheduled Maintenance or reasonable emergency maintenance.
Scheduled Maintenance
"Scheduled Maintenance" means Contentment Foundation's scheduled routine maintenance of the Services for which Contentment Foundation notifies Customer at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Scheduled Maintenance will not exceed eight (8) hours per month.
